This teaser campaign for the online dating site RSVP was one of the funniest, irreverent and certainly most embarrassing project that I’ve ever worked on.
We fully created a tongue-in-cheek Instagram account for one bubbly, blow-up doll named Hope Jones on a quest to find a real connection, not just sex! The aim was to win the hearts of all through a series of posts that underscore how RSVP was different from competitors apps like Tinder.
Oh well, let’s say that didn’t go as planned and we bombed miserably. Not having a proper social team behind and the right PR support, mixed with an ultra low budget, were some of the contributing factors to blame. But despite the huge fail, I’ve learned a lot from this incident and I treasured all those findings ever since. Nonetheless I’ve experienced on my skin the level of involvement to produce and to shoot all this content single-handedly. And don’t get me started on the strange looks and the comments I got from the crowd nearby, hehe...
