Long before the postal survey was run and won, we won the pitch to create the visual brand identity for Australian Marriage Equality. Not only did this result in an instantly recognisable device in support of same-sex marriage, our brand toolkit was then universally adopted by other agencies and hundreds of different community, corporate, grassroots and organised groups across the country to create one consistent look and feel. Appearing everywhere from the chests of Hollywood celebrities to TV end frames, social media feeds and down the local main street, it certainly achieved its mission of unifying and motivating the ‘YES’ vote amongst all walks of life.
